ARCH 520 - Design/Build Gallery - Henri Foch, John Kleman, Jay Reeves: Student Architects: Salvaged Materials

Documentation from ARCH 520, an independent study design/build studio with Henri Foch, John Kleman & Jay Reeves

House on Clay Street

This house on Clay street was to be razed by Drury.  Jay Reeves approached the VP for Administration requesting to be allowed to salvage materials.  They were granted permission as long as they didn't take any structural members or do anything to compromise the safety of themselves or others.  They salvaged pine and oak flooring, various other wood, windows, doors and cabinets.

Bricks & Cabinet

The paver bricks were found under the front porch, and became a brick patio for the gallery.  The cabinet was part of a butler's pantry, and became shelving to display pottery in the gallery after removing about 6 coats of thick paint.
