If you're having trouble viewing, saving or retrieving PDF documents,try saving the file to your computer and print it from there. Save the file using the save icon located in Adobe Acrobat Reader instead of the File menu.
To print a file, click the print icon on Adobe Acrobat Reader instead of choosing print from the file menu. If you are still encountering problems you may need to upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. Upgrading to the latest version will usually solve most common PDF loading/viewing problems.

Firefox users: If you click on a PDF link in JSTOR and get an error message that says that the file is damaged, there may be a problem with the Adobe Firefox plug-in in your browser. Follow the instructions below for a workaround:
- Open up the Firefox browser
- Go to the Tools menu, choose Applications
- Find content type Adobe Acrobat Document, under Action, choose Use Adobe Reader (default)
- Click OK
