This course will help you realize that plants are not as helpless as they might appear... they have an arsenal... of chemistry that can heal or kill!
if you are taking the class for FIELD CREDIT make sure you are not missing these opportunities, and plan your schedule (work, etc.) to be able to participate.
FIELD TRIP - Botanical Center on Scenic Ave.
if you work, please arrange ahead of time to take off a few minutes earlier (~ 15 min) that day, if you have other classes, excuse yourself for a few minutes, and if you do not have a car please ask around, there are many colleagues that would probably be very happy to give you a ride.
take Chestnut West to Kansas Expr. go south / left on Kansas Expr. to Sunshine, go west / right on Sunshine to Scenic , go south / left on Scenic, after the last apartment building on your left you will see the sign of the Botanical Center, turn in, at the stop sign turn right towards the Botanical Center building, before you reach the building on your left you will notice the Master Gardener's demostration gardens, park and meet there.

ORAL PRESENTATIONS OF YOUR RESEARCH PAPER ~ 5-7 min per person
please ask me ahead if you need any help developing your presentation, reading the scientific names (which should be always either in Italics or underlined, specific epithet should be lower case unless is from someones name, and even then...)
anytime there are no presentations
Tuesday May 13 in class FINAL EXAM 1-3 pm
plants & fungi detrimental to human health, bring any material you might find useful to complete the exam
