Welcome Message

Upon completing this course you will consider that all living originated from one common ancestor that changed in a variety of ways through billions of years of evolution, that life is in a continuum dynamic equilibrium, and everything will eventually change!



Friday May 9 @ 1 pm TSC 20 - REVIEW FOR FINAL EXAM


Tuesday May 13  3-5 pm COMPREHENSIVE FINAL EXAM - will include any (but not necessary all) of the following, please let me know if you have questions as soon as possible.

new material:

Phylogenetic methods of studying evolution - lecture notes & textbook chapter 18.2, 18.3, 18.4 were extensively discussed in class and you have a summary in the lecture notes.

Please read chapter 18.1 & 18.6 which are the introduction and more or less a parallel construction of the points that are introduced to us (the reader) in the introduction.

(sub)chapter 18.5 - please read, see the summary of lecture notes, bring questions but I will not test you in the exam on the information presented in 18.5 - I strongly encourage you to read it (in summer), and consider taking the Developmental Biology course Biol 334.


old material: make sure you understand the material that was tested in the previous two tests
