A blog, or Weblog, is a Web site that contains material entered in reverse chronological order about whatever topics or issues the blog is designed to address. It functions as an online diary or journal written by one person or a group of contributors. Entries often contain commentary and links to other Web sites. Some blogs include images and a search capability. Good blogs are becoming increasingly more popular among scientists and researchers as a way of keeping current with ideas in the field. They also often permit readers to post their own comments about the issues raised.
