This is a concise guide to technical terms and personal names often encountered in the study of philosophy.

"The Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy was founded in 1995 for the purpose of providing detailed, scholarly information on key topics and philosophers in all areas of philosophy. The IEP is free of charge and available to all internet users world wide."

Set up like an online dictionary of entries relating to various aspects of philosophy since the Enlightenment under the broad headings Enlightenment, Romanticism, Analytical Philosophy, Existentialism, Post Structuralism, God, Mind, Science, and Moral Philosophy.

Organized chronologically, this resource includes at least brief entries on around 400 philosophers going back to 600 B.C.E.

Host Kieran Setiya asks famous contemporary philosophers five questions about their approaches to life and philosophical work. The conversations are very accessible and tend to be focused on the experiences of the philosophers interviewed, rather than on the details of their research.

Hi-Phi Nation adopts a narrative journalism approach to philosophy, presenting philosophical topics and history as stories. The episodes are designed to be accessible and entertaining. Nevertheless, they contain substantive philosophical content and may offer starting points for learning or research on a new philosophical topic.
