The Missouri Learning Standards define the knowledge and skills students need in each grade level and course for success in college, other post-secondary training and careers. These expectations are aligned to the Show-Me Standards, which define what all Missouri high school graduates should know and be able to do.

Missouri Educator Preparation
The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has developed a new, comprehensive approach for assessing the preparation of educators.
Missouri Educator Profile (MEP)
You are required to complete the MEP upon entry into a Missouri educator program (traditional and alternative programs). Although it is not a state requirement, some preparation programs may instruct you to also complete the MEP immediately preceding your last field and/or clinical experience.
Missouri General Education Assessment (MoGEA)
This test for admission into undergraduate educator preparation programs in Missouri includes sections on English language arts, writing, mathematics, science and social science. The assessment began in September 2013 and replaces the College BASE (CBASE) test.
