The core of political science is classified in the J call number range with some related material in HX. Note that international relations per se is included under the single prefix JZ, though materials dealing with government and politics in other countries will also be heavily used. Moreover, because of the interdisciplinary nature of IR, scholars in the discipline use a great deal of material classified in history (D and F), economics and sociology (H), anthropology (GV), and the military (U and V).
